I’m thrilled to bring you ‘The School of Radiant’, a full day workshop devoted to self care and self expression. A safe, playful space for you to get wild, well and creative.

I’ve been working way too much lately. It feels crappy. And I’ve felt too ashamed to tell you. Yes, I agree that the ‘glorification of busy’ isn’t healthy, but neither is the shame I’d developed by keeping it in the dark and slapping a ‘but I love my work so I can do it all day, every day’ tag on it, because I’m not buying it.
It’s been a big, beautiful and busy start to the year. Add to that a few Big Life Decisions and Unexpected Life Happenings (you’re a human being so you know the drill) and I woke up last week, looked at myself in the mirror and said: ‘Claire, you look like crap.’
I was incredibly honoured this week to have the opportunity to speak at the Lorna Jane #IAMWOMAN event in Perth, to celebrate International Women’s Day. I deeply resonate with the global brand’s ethos of ‘Active Living’, so I was thrilled to be asked to present on Empowering Yourself.

I’ve been learning about and exploring the lunar calendar and yin/yang phases recently (more about this soon!) and today, we’re currently in a yin phase. This energy is receptive, inward, reflective, relaxing and feminine. On the flip-side, yang energy is energetic, expanding, active and action-oriented.
And let me tell you, I’ve never felt this distinction between yin/yang energy more than in the last few days.
Which brings me to explain why I haven’t written today’s post for you.
Well, here we are! Just days away from the end of 2014. I’ll tell you what, this year has been a transformative and delightful 12 months! My life – and many a mindset – has changed both subtly and dramatically.
And put simply, I’m seriously appreciative that 2014 brought with it so much joy, because if I’m honest, 2013 was the most difficult and challenging year of my life. This year felt SO different. Not without loss and confusion and sadness, but perhaps with a little more laughter and (the big one) acceptance.
Emily Ehlers and I are so excited to present ‘Dream, Then Do’, a creative, playful and powerful workshop in Perth, for an inspired new year.
This glittery, half-day event will be devoted to creating a space for you to map out those big dreams, expand your creative practice, set some soulful and solid intentions – and have a whole heap of fun.
It’s December! Woop woop! My absolute favourite time of year: Christmas. You can be sure there ain’t no grinchin’ at This is Lifeblood HQ! Bring on the tacky tinsel, carols, pavlova and glazed ham. I’m ready.
This will be the first Christmas in THREE YEARS that I’ve spent in my hometown in NSW with my family and I’ve been counting the sleeps for awhile now… So in my excitement for the silly season, I thought I’d share with you a nourishing and creative gift guide for the ladies in your life. Or maybe, for your fine self.
If you’ve been hanging out here for a little while, you’ll know that I’ve been promising a series on MONEY before the end of the year. I’m really, really excited to share my ‘money story’ with you (it goes something like this: crap with money and in loads of debt to Budgeting Queen with an actual savings account in a relatively short space of time).
But, it just ain’t coming together.
And believe me, I’ve seriously dedicated real time to it; I have pages upon pages of scrawled notes, Post-Its in books I want to reference, about 1500 words in a Pages doc and a draft blog post in Wordpress, with a pretty image and all.
But, it just ain’t coming together.
