Hello! I'm Claire Baker. I’ve been journalling since I was 10 years old. I’m a 'goer-inner' meaning I thrive on looking within and am always seeking to understand the world in a deeper way. My journalling practice has seen me grow into the woman I am today; through joy, love, travel, heartbreak, risk, adventure, work, creativity, insecurity, acceptance, stretching, growing, learning and becoming.

In 2012 I came off the contraceptive pill and kickstarted the most incredible journey to better understanding my body and who I REALLY am. Through the ups and downs of getting to know my natural cycle, my journalling practice became my anchor and mirror; a space where I could see patterns within myself, understand these new changes I was experiencing and figure out what was working — and what definitely was not working! It became the primary tool I used to flow with my monthly rhythms and manifest a life that felt true for me.

Let's think about this: the menstrual cycle is designed to create LIFE. What I've realised (and what I'm now ready to teach you in this six-week course) is how you can use the magic of your menstrual cycle — combined with the power of intention and intuition — to bring your desires to life, in a sustainable, gentle and enjoyable way. Journalling is a gentle, affordable and transformative way to deepen your understanding of your menstrual cycle and relationship with yourself. ABOUT CLAIRE

Since 2013 I’ve had the honour of teaching women how to adore their cycle as a women’s coach with private clients, in workshop settings in Australia and London and most recently in my eBook Adore Your Cycle: Find Your Flow, Work Your Menstrual Magic & Change The Way You Live Your Life — Forever. What I continue to hear from women is that they want to go deeper which is a bloody good thing, because this work lasts a lifetime. Experimenting with enriching self-care tips and practices is not a one-cycle-approach: every single month gives us an opportunity to know ourselves (and take care of ourselves) on a more nourishing level.

Aligning my journalling practice with my menstrual cycle has meant that in the last few years I have re-structured the entire way I coach, write and work, decided to take half a year off drinking alcohol, found a sustainable way to approach physical exercise, moved to the other side of the world, embraced my blooming sexual energy, learnt to trust my intuition in a way I hadn’t before, shifted my diet and what I eat (and don’t eat) at each phase of my cycle, reassessed my finances and spending / saving patterns in alignment with my cycle, figured out what triggers my PMS symptoms (and what helps relieve them), stayed on track with my writing projects, connected to God / Spirit / Source in a big, big way, ended my de facto relationship, rekindled a regular creative practice, started to see the powers of manifestation really at work in my life, changed the way I approached meditation… and on and on and on.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

Women. Sorry dudes! And more specifically, women who have a desire and willingness to understand their menstrual cycle and shifting monthly rhythms, using a journalling practice as their guide. Women who have an interest in conscious living and want to learn how to use their cycle to create a life they love.

WILL YOU BE GIVING US SELF-CARE SPECIFICS?

The brilliant (yet admittedly sometimes annoying) thing about self-care is that there is no one-size-fits-all-approach. I haven’t got a blueprint for you, nor is a blueprint what your soul is looking for. I CAN tell you what works for me (and in this course, I naturally will be!) but what’s even better than that is for YOU to be unravelling your own approach to deep soul nourishment and understanding. I’ll show you how to journal in a way that aligns your practice with your shifting monthly rhythms, transforming the way you live and take care of yourself.

DO I NEED TO HAVE READ 'ADORE YOUR CYCLE' BEFORE TAKING THIS COURSE?

While not compulsory, those who have read my eBook Adore Your Cycle will likely have a more profound course experience as I won't be re-hashing many of the topics that I cover in that book. I'd consider it a companion for this course.

WHAT IF I'VE NEVER JOURNALED BEFORE?

Not a problem at all. Journalling beginner, dabblers, long-timers all welcome!

MY CYCLE ISN'T 28 DAYS LONG. IT'S LONGER / SHORT / ERRATIC... DOES THAT MATTER?

Many women find their cycle doesn't consistently follow a 28-day pattern. Mine certainly doesn't! And that's fine. While there will be audio prompts specific to your cycle days, I'll be providing guidance on what to do if your cycle shifts things up regularly or spontaneously.

I'M NOT CURRENTLY CYCLING DUE TO THE PILL / PREGNANCY / BREASTFEEDING / AMENORRHEA... DOES THAT MATTER?

If you're not cycling, you'll no doubt still find this information interesting and I do provide guidance on using the moon's cycle as your own if you take the course. That being said, it will be a different experience than if you were currently experiencing a natural menstrual cycle. Additionally, many women who are experiencing amenorrhea (my past self included) tell me that by tracking the moon and journalling the changes within their body, their own natural cycle has in fact returned! 

HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU EXPECT THE COURSE WILL TAKE PER WEEK?

You'll need to set aside 10-minutes a day for the journalling exercises and another 1 - 2 hours per week to go through the lessons, worksheets and be apart of the Q&A if you choose to. Naturally this isn't something you do once and never return to. My intention is that you'll integrate this practice into your life forever, so if you need to take more time to work through the course materials, that's completely fine. You'll be able to download everything and access it whenever works for you.

WHEN WILL YOU BE RUNNING THE COURSE AGAIN?

The course will most likely run again around August 2017.
