Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always had a strong sense of – and deep connection to – my sexuality, spirituality and creativity. But throughout most of my life, these integral parts of my being have (in my mind) been at odds with one another: players on different teams, different worlds. I saw […]
For the first half of my 20’s, I lived with – and intently listened to – a voice in my head (my Mean Girl) that whispered all kinds of “fun” things like: you’re such a fake, you’re not good enough, you’re wasting time, you’re fat, broke, selfish, annoying, boring, lazy, too-this, too-that, not enough of something […]
I love writing these introductions to the interviews I share here; welcoming incredible peeps into the sphere of my blog and introducing them – in all their awesomeness, creativity and vibrancy – to YOU, my passionate and loyal reader. I feel honoured to be the vessel (every second Friday), that holds the potential for YOU to find a new somebody to Light. You. Up.
It’s a magical moment when you connect with a soul (online or in “real life”) that has you grinning wildly, a held breath, a YES! She gets me. Know what I’m saying?
And so it is in that vein, that energy that I am welcoming Alice Nicholls onto the This is Lifeblood stage today. Alice is a Holistic Health Legend and Director of Authentic Health Advice business The Whole Daily. She’s also hilarious, driven, genuine, silly, loving, intuitive, wise and F U N.
Alice stands the heck out online. She’s a do-er, a creator, a walk-my-talk kinda gal and I dig that. Her presence in the wellness world is a gift; a refreshing, big ol’ dose of no fluff, straight-up, loving and actionable advice and content, bundled together by her mission to #screwbeige.
I’m so into it. And so are the hundreds of women around the world who have immersed themselves in her online global eCourse, read her eBooks and had their world changed with a taste of her luscious recipes.
I had the pleasure of sitting next to the beautiful Lauren Glucina almost a year ago at the Bupa Health Influencer Blog Awards and I knew who she was right away. I had drooled over Lauren’s gorgeous, unique and intricate recipes on her site Ascension Kitchen for some time. I’d fallen in love with Lauren’s keen eye for aesthetics, beauty and design as well as her passion for a gentle, kind road to food, wellness, health and healing.
It’s no secret that I adore anybody who can seamlessly merge their multi-passions into their work with so much love and desire to embody their true selves in everything they do. Lauren has nailed this as a holistic health and wellness coach, certified raw chef and herbalist-in-the-making, while also being responsible for some of the most interesting and beautiful food photography I’ve ever seen, not to mention the exceptionally creative design of her blog, eBook, newly released app and social media channels. She’s a true gem.
If there’s a lady that embodies the essence and truth behind what this segment is all about – women who are leading with heart, working hard from a a soul-centred space to bring fruition to their mission – it’s Natalie Kringoudis.
As a Natural Fertility Educator, Acupuncturist, Author and Speaker, Nat has without a doubt positively – and drastically – influenced the shape of my life and health over the past year or so. Initially her blog inspired me to discontinue the contraceptive pill and then provided a wealth of information and support when things didn’t quite go as planned.
And it’s not just me – through her blog, business, books, live events and online programs, Nat’s leading a whole new generation of women who are choosing nourishing, natural wellness and fertile health over modern medicine’s obsession with over-medication and gently reminding us our bodies are savvier, smarter and stronger than we often give them credit for. Yep, trail-blazer.
In person, she’s a delight! Crazy amounts of energy and enthusiasm – and such a babe. I was honoured to share my story with Nat on her site in a video interview recently and I’m bloody thrilled to have her gorgeous face on my blog today. Enjoy!
Those of us who are bloggers or blog-lovers (or both) all remember our first blog-love. Those fundamental words we devoured online that struck a chord in our souls, had us clutching our iPhones on our lunch breaks, leaning into our laptops late at night, hastily clicking on post after post, pouring over every word or story, photo or picture that created the fabrication of this major blog-love.
The first blog I fell in love with was A Life of Perfect Days by the beautiful Connie Chapman. I stumbled upon Connie’s blog before I really even knew what a blog was. Connie’s words sparked something inside of me, no doubt. I have printed off many of her posts, highlighted and scribbled my thoughts and observations on page after page and although she is no longer actively blogging at ALOPD, I still frequent the site often.
Connie is the real deal; authentic, genuine and an incredibly gifted wordsmith, let alone a massive cutie on screen. Her v-logs are adorable! She has been a huge catalyst in my own self development and blogging journey and she inspires me to continue to shed the layers and transform my life to reflect my truth. Connie now writes and offers her services as a life coach over at ConnieChapman.com and her latest project The 90 Day Transformation Project has been a huge success thus far. I had a blast doing it last year and highly recommend the program. The next round kicks off on the 11th of August if you’re in need of a soulful overhaul.
So without further ado, I give you Connie Chapman. I hope you find as much intuitive inspiration and soul-fire in Connie’s words as I have.
Picture this. You’re overworked due to your stressful corporate job, you’re punishing your body by exercising to the extreme and not eating well. You’re not looking after yourself. Then you get a wake up call. You’re diagnosed with severe adrenal fatigue, polycystic ovaries, insulin resistance and a whole host of hormonal and blood sugar issues. What do you do? Do you take the life of medication or do you listen to your body and attempt to cure yourself naturally?
This is exactly the predicament the gorgeous Corona Brady from Nurture Pod found herself in in 2007 and as you can probably guess, she took the latter option. Now a qualified Health Coach, Yoga Teacher and Reiki Healer, Corona took accountability for her illness and transformed her health and lifestyle. Today, no trace of any of these health concerns exist in her (very bendy!) body and now helping other people on their own transformational health journeys is what she gets to call ‘work’. How awesome is that!? She also has the coolest Irish accent and the most beautiful wedding photos I have ever seen. Babe bride alert! Check her blog out for more and read on…
I think the greatest thing about coaching women through their health and wellness journey is that my clients become my friends and I learn just as much from them, as them from me. We cheer each other on – it’s a double inspiration whammy! I’m so encouraged, energised and excited for every single one of the women I coach and Cath Grigg is no exception. This heroine is a Super-Mum-Beauty Therapist-Wellness-Woman-Extraordinaire and organic living advocate. She inspires me to put food the best quality food in my mouth and the best quality products on my skin. The way Cath speaks with gratitude about her family, her passion for her business and helping others as well as her positive outlook on life despite the challenges she has overcome, makes me smile every time we chat. I am so excited for all the wonderful things ahead for this lady.
There are people in my life who I admire, respect and adore. Then there are people in my life who I admire, respect and adore AND have a gigantic girl-crush on. Without sounding like a total creep, Claire Obeid falls in the second category.
Maybe it’s the shared-name thing, but it’s most likely the fact that she is an authentic, real, caring soul who is so passionate about helping others to live a healthy lifestyle that she has built her business The Wellness Project to become the melting pot of health, yoga and balance that it is today. Claire offers coaching, yoga classes, an e-course and a brand new eBook; she’s created a real haven of holistic health.
Claire is kind, helpful, honest and open and has both feet firmly planted on the ground. Or on her yoga mat. If all you do is sign up for her ridiculously informative (and free) weekly newsletters, you will gain momentous amounts of information and guidance. I’m so thrilled to have Claire on the blog today. Enjoy!
It’s not everyday you get to chat with someone you have on your vision board. I’m going to put it out there, Melissa Ambrosini has been one of my biggest inspirations over the last 18 months as I’ve slowly transitioned my life from Desk Job/Party Girl/A Little Bit Lost to Health Coach/Yogini/General Life Lover. I’ve cooked her recipes, read her book (and highly recommend it!) and watched her speak live at Earth Event’s Self Love & Sisterhood tour earlier this year. I seriously smile just thinking about her wide-eyed excitement when discussing health, self love, passion and authenticity.
In person, she is warm, adorable and radiates love. And is (obviously) a massive babe. Recently, I’ve had the pleasure of coaching with Mel. Her intelligent insights and life experience combined with her passion, generosity and crazy love for her work has been invaluable for where I am at right now in my own life and business and I am forever grateful for her time. I know you will be inspired by this woman of wellness and her heart of gold. Maybe you’ll even put her on your vision board too.
